Hi! I’m Erica Boose, wife to Dave, mom to Porter and Elizabeth, and a born-and-raised Ohio girl who’s happiest with a mixing bowl in hand. I grew up in Dresden spending countless hours in the kitchen with my family - baking, laughing, and making the kind of memories that stick with you forever. That’s where my love of cooking started…and it never left.

For the past 13 years life took our family on quite the tour:  New Jersey, California, Ohio again, and Chicago. No matter where we lived, when people asked where I was from, my answer stayed the same: “I’m an Ohio Girl.” And that’s exactly how my company got its name. I’ve loved exploring other pockets of the country, but there’s just nothing like home.

When we moved back to Ohio in the summer of 2018, I finally decided it was time to turn my passion into a brand of my own. My dream is for this to become a family adventure—something my kids can learn from, be a part of, and hopefully feel proud of one day. I created Ohio Girl Bakes not just to share the joy of baking, but also to build something meaningful with my family. I hope this venture teaches Porter and Elizabeth the benefits of hard work, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
